Landing Permit Processing Time
All General Aviation and business aircraft operating to or from India require landing or overflying permits issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), regardless of the flight type.
Landing Permit Lead Time
- Landing permit processing requires 7 working days for flights originating from Prior Reference Countries including China, North Korea, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia and Nigeria. Flight should operate on the 8th day.
- Landing permit processing requires 3 working days for flights not originating from Prior Reference Countries. Flight should operate on the 4th day.
- Technical landing or fuel stop requests require 1 working day for flights not originating from Prior Reference Countries. Flight should operate on the 2nd day.
- Technical landing or fuel stop requests require 3 working days for flights originating from Prior Reference Countries. Flight should operate on the 4th day.
Overflying Permit Lead Time
- Overflight clearance: 1 day (flight should operate on the 2nd day).
- Overflight clearance for PRC: 3 days (flight should operate on the 4th day).
