Udaipur Airport, also called Maharana Pratap Airport (UDR), serves as the main air gateway to the beautiful city of Udaipur in Rajasthan. Situated about 22 km from the city center in Dabok, it is a domestic airport known for its efficient services and scenic surroundings. The airport’s modern terminal, inaugurated in 2008, is equipped with comfortable passenger amenities, including restaurants, shops, and car rental counters. It has a single 2,743-meter runway that accommodates medium-sized aircraft. Major airlines such as IndiGo, Air India, and Akasa Air connect Udaipur with major Indian metros like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jaipur, and Hyderabad. Named in honor of the great Rajput warrior Maharana Pratap, the airport plays a vital role in promoting tourism to Udaipur, one of India’s most popular heritage and lake destinations.
