Cochin International Airport (VOCI), located at Nedumbassery about 30 km northeast of Kochi city in Kerala, is one of India’s most prominent airports. The airport is also famous globally for being the world’s first fully solar-powered airport, a milestone achieved in 2015. Cochin Airport has a single, long asphalt runway (09/27) capable of handling wide-body aircraft and features modern terminals equipped for both domestic and international passengers.
